Privacy Notice
MXVILLE World School, MXVILLE World School MHB Colony, Gorai Nagar, Borivali, West Mumbai Maharashtra
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This notice explains what personal information this school holds, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Most of the people it describes are children, so we have written it for parents and guardians to read.
Who is responsible
MXVILLE World School decides what information is collected and why, and is responsible for looking after it. If you want to ask about anything in this notice, or exercise any of the rights below, write to mxvilleworldschool@gmail.com or telephone +919324408164.
The school should name a specific person here as the contact for data questions, so that requests reach somebody rather than a shared inbox.
What we hold
About a pupil: name, date of birth, gender, photograph, admission number, class and section, address, and the languages and religion recorded at admission where the family chose to give them.
About a parent or guardian: name, relationship, telephone number, email address, occupation and address.
Identity and supporting documents uploaded at admission, which may include a birth certificate, an Aadhaar card for the pupil or guardian, an address proof and a leaving certificate from a previous school.
School records made as a pupil goes through the year: attendance, marks and examination results, homework and its assessment, lesson and syllabus progress, library borrowing, transport route where that applies, leave applications, and fee and payment records.
Health information limited to blood group and any note a family chooses to give the school.
If you use the mobile application: the device registration needed to send notifications, and an access key stored on the phone so you do not have to sign in every time.
Why we hold it
To run the school: to enrol a pupil, teach and assess them, take attendance, collect fees, arrange transport, and communicate with families. Identity documents are held because admission requires the school to verify who a pupil is and where they live. We do not use any of it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anybody.
Children
Nearly everyone described here is under eighteen. A parent or guardian gives the information at admission and consents on the child's behalf, and a parent or guardian may exercise every right below for their child. We do not profile children, track them for advertising, or show them advertising in the app or on this site.
Who else sees it
Staff of this school, and only the parts their role requires - a teacher sees their own classes, the office sees admission and fee records.
A parent sees their own children's records through the parent portal and the mobile application, and nobody else's.
Our payment provider, Razorpay, handles online fee payments. Card details are entered on their systems and are never stored by this school.
Google Firebase delivers push notifications to the mobile application.
We disclose information to anybody else only where the law requires it, for example to an education authority or in response to a lawful order.
Keeping it safe
The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed and never in a form anybody can read back. Uploaded documents and photographs are not published on the web: they are served only after a check that the person asking is entitled to see them. Access to the administrative system is controlled by role, and repeated failed sign-ins lock an account. Sign-ins and changes to records are logged.
How long we keep it
Academic records are kept while a pupil is enrolled and afterwards for as long as the school needs to issue transcripts, certificates and references, and for any period the education authority requires.
The school should state a definite period here - for example, identity documents deleted one year after a pupil leaves, academic records kept for ten - and apply it. Until a period is written down and acted on, records are in practice kept indefinitely, which is the thing this section exists to prevent.
What you can ask for
- A copy of what we hold about you or your child.
- Correction of anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Erasure of information we no longer need, so far as the law and the school's record-keeping obligations allow.
- Withdrawal of a consent you gave, where what we do rests on consent.
- To raise a complaint if you think we have handled information badly.
Write to mxvilleworldschool@gmail.com and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
The mobile application
The application shows a parent or pupil their own records. It stores an access key in the phone's secure storage - the Keychain on iOS, encrypted preferences on Android - so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. It asks permission to send notifications and nothing else. It does not read your contacts, your location or your files.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
This notice describes what the system does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the school should have it checked before relying on it - particularly the retention periods and the named contact.
